Hello There.....I went swimming today with our grandchildren and the ear plugs work. I
tentatively did a couple of lengths and yes, they really are 100% watertight. After strug-
gling with silicone for years it seems a tragedy that doctors do not know about your ear
plugs. They certainly will after this week as I will tell them myself. I am now 70 years old
and at the age of 12 became the youngest in Britain to earn the bronze cross for life-
guarding. I have suffered with a perforated eardrum from early age and look forward to
getting my swimming going properly again. My little grandson learned to swim today, he

I have loved swimming ever since I was a small child. Now as an adult I lap swim as my
form of exercise. My ears have become sensitive over the years and they are less toler-
ant of water getting in them. I have tried every ear plug on the market, and only one has

In 1952 I experienced a series of ear infections caused, in part, by spending too much
time at the bottom of a swimming pool. My eardrum ruptured, not in the center, but along
the edge, making it impossible for the tympanic membrane to heal, and difficult to surgi-  
cally repair.

Since that time, any drop of water in the ear from swimming or even a shower, causes
great discomfort, if not infection. Thus, I had to forgo a number of favorite activities such
as swim- ming under water. I developed a rather pathetic set of swimming techniques, all
of which required that I keep my head above water. I had to sit out when people played in
the surf or snorkeled. This has gone on for forty-five years and I am well-known in my
family for swimming in my hat and glasses.

I tried all types of ear plugs and even had plugs custom-made by an audiologist. None of
them worked; they all leaked.

Before a recent trip to Hawaii, my son told me about Joseph's remarkable innovation. I
took several sets with me and can report that they changed my life. They worked per-  
fectly and fit comfortably. I snorkeled and learned to boogie board and swam with my face
in the water, with not a drop making it into my inner ear. They mold to the shape of the
inside of the ear and stay in place under adverse conditions. I got hit by a wave that
knocked my trunks down around my knees, but the ear plugs stuck tight. I highly recom-
mend this product.

Swimming is my primary source of exercise. Swimmer's Ear, caused by water getting
trapped in the ear canal, does not allow you to swim. The answer is get ear plugs. I tried
plastics, silicone, and oil drenched lamb's wool, but none of them were anywhere near as
effective as Joseph's beeswax and cotton ear plugs. Joe's ear plugs form to your ears,
seal out the water, and leave no residue. On top of all this these ear plugs are comfortable
to wear.

In short, I am sold on these earplugs and intend to use them as long as they are available.

Hi Joe....I just wanted to say thank you for the ear plugs. I bought them for my 13 month
old and they work perfectly. She has had way too many ear infections that she had to get
tubes. So we need to keep any water out, and when I saw your website about how you
can wear these in the ocean, I was excited.  They are definitely a lot easier to put on her
ears versus the wax type that I bought at CVS.

I can't say enough about these ear plugs. My daughter had tubes put in her ears almost
one year ago. These are the only plugs that will stay in during bath time and in the swim-
ming pool. I recommend these to anyone especially someone with small children. They
are soft and comfortable for tiny ears. We tried drugstore brands to begin with and there
is no comparison. This is my third order and it will definitely not be my last !

SEALS OUT

I wanted to add my Hoorah to this product. I have had three eardrum replacement surger-
ies and still have a hole in my eardrum. I get ear infections easier than catching a cold.
From the First time I used this product, I have had NO water leakage AT ALL. Even from
using the diving board in my pool. This is the finest ear plug I have EVER used, that in-
cludes a custom fit one from my ear doctor (expensive). Thank you So much for this
